Patience is not about how long someone can wait... It's about how well they behave while they wait.

Not as thick as we thought

Boys will be boys and Ben will be Ben... a rowdy collison with the edge of the bannister resulted in the three stitches now sported by our son. It looks so much better after being stitched up. Now he will have to come up with a good story to go with the scar I am sure he will have.

Happy Spring!

Not sure why it seems that I rarely make things to keep. Here is a wreath I made last night that is now welcoming Spring to our front door. I still may have to glitter up the butterflies. lol

Sold! To the cute guy without the glasses.

We went to an auction last week and needed two trips to get our loot home. lol

Found some neat furniture pieces for here and there in the Washington house. I figure with so many rooms, we will need a few little tables and things.

^ This is a pine Table and bench for one side.

^ A cute round table. It's sort of dated, but the wood looked so nice, I really like it.

^ We see this bench going near the front door to help in removing shoes.
We had a ton of fun at the auction. I think this is something we will do again.

Smiley Happy People

I loved this article about a fellow creative soul trying to spread some good cheer in these hard times.

An artist tried to lift the February gloom by releasing more than 2,000 pink smiley faces into the air over London.

The Happy Cloud installation filled the air outside the Tate Modern gallery with the faces, made from helium, soap and vegetable dye.

The artist, 28-year-old Stuart Semple, said he wanted to create something that would cheer people up.

"I've had enough of the doom and gloom in the air and I wanted to show something completely positive floating up in the sky," he said.

"This was the most straightforward way I could think of to literally contribute something happy to the atmosphere.

"I am hoping it might put a smile on a few people's faces as they go through their day."
Though the faces were short-lived - each of them lasting only around 30 minutes before dissipating - Mr Semple was pleased with his efforts.

"I know at times like this it's easy to make creativity a low priority but I want to show on a very human level that an artistic idea might be able to do something important, even for a fleeting moment," he said.

Disney Magic

Our trip to Disney World was wonderful. It was Ben's first time, and Myranda's second, though she was too young to remember much the first trip. My old body and aching feet were more than ready to head home after only a few days in the parks, but my heart didn't want to leave!

Here are some pictures from our Magical time.

While we were at Animal Kingdom, Ben kept talking about the "Rhino ride". He wanted to go on it sooo badly. We planned on going on the safari after lunch so kept telling him "soon". On the safari we excitedly pointed out the rhinos, but Ben was less than enthusiastic. Turns out the "Rhino ride" was really something like the Dumbo ride in Magic Kingdom, only with Triceretops cars... the horns made them look like rhinos to him. lol
David and I felt incredibly guilty over how much he HATED the ride "Dinosaur" so we made sure he got to do this before we left.

Mom and Ben on the "Rhino ride".

This was around 8pm on the drive home from the airport. A terrific trip and exhausted children.

Refridgerator Art

Me: Hey Myranda, I like the drawing you did.

Randa: Thanks, it's the Parthenon in Greece.

I LOVE my children!
