The kids enjoyed a dip in the hot tub. We set the temp lower for them.

The World According to Ben

Ben has a good friend at school named Lane. Ben and Lane are thinkers with big plans.

They are going to invent a device that tracks down Leprechauns.... so they can get their gold.

Lane plans to use this money for college.

Ben is thinking of buying a restaurant.

I'm so relieved we do not have to worry about the future.

Mud and Honey...

First of all, I've been having computer problems, and don't have a way of editing pictures right now... so these are all large and unmessed with. Enjoy!

David has been doing a lot of work outside. He built a great raised bed for the seeds we have sprouting in the kitchen window right now. It's lined with chicken wire to keep the gophers away from our carrots.


Also been playing with diverting some of the creek into the yard.

It runs into a small pond. And then back out and meets up with the rest of the creek farther out.

There are three cats we have seen around... living in our garage and under the deck. This one decided to overcome his shyness and meet David. Once he found out how good it felt to be scratched on the head... he could not get close enough and climbed on up and was perched on David's shoulder. I didn't get a pic of that unfortunately, because I was in too much of a rush to get the cat to come to me too. lol And then of course the kids got to make friends. We decided to call him or her Honey.

Here comes spring!

When melting snow gives way to sunshine and warmer (I know that's a relative term) weather... I always think of this picture. This was taken about twelve years ago in Alaska when our little pumkin was still little.
