Patience is not about how long someone can wait... It's about how well they behave while they wait.

Lots of Water

Dean, the kids and I went to the beach yesterday while David had to work.  The lake has risen A LOT in the last few weeks.

The kids had a great time playing in the sand, and even though the water was quite cold, they did wade in a few times.

For comparison, here are a couple of shots of the beach from about a month ago.

20 years

So I was looking on my computer for a picture from our wedding to post.... can't find one.  So then I spent quite awhile "walking" through the many pictures from over the years that I do have on my computer.  Adorable pictures of our kids babies, til now.  Such sweet, precious faces filling my mind with memories.

So I decided I would post a random selection of them... a glimpse at our life and what we have accomplished.  That would have been great.  But the pics stalled on the upload screen... uploading FOREVER with no progress.  In case you have never met me, I am not one for patience when it comes to electronics anyway... but waiting for over 20 minutes with no movement of progress bar and I was done.

So now, I think I will just try and write something to my dear husband from my heart.

David,

Thank you for sharing the last 20 years of my life.  It has been the most wonderful, amazing, adventurous, thrilling, love story I could ever imagine.  You have been the strong shoulder, gentle hand, calming soul, kind heart, loving Father and husband... simply everything I needed and wanted, right when I most needed and wanted it.  I just know that the next 20 years will be even more full of love, happiness and joy.  I look forward to every minute I have with you.  I love you with all my being, Happy Anniversary.

All my heart,
Jennifer

Free time with Randa

Ever since Ben and David made the race car cake for scouts, Randa has been itching to try something.  So on one of my days off last weekend I helped her get started.  She got started with some motivation watching "Cake Boss", and did some sketching of a dragon cake.  We had to work with what we had in regards to pan shapes.... But we were able to create the idea of a dragon sleeping around it's treasure.  She REALLY enjoyed the decorating.  I think we are still finding sprinkles in the kitchen.

Free time with Ben

I had last weekend off and spent a bit of time with each of the kids... Ben really, really needed a haircut, and when I was getting ready he requested a mohawk.  He has asked for this in the past and because of school or other things I have declined.  However I figured it would be ok to give him a partial one to play with for a week or so.  Then I will finish it with a nice clean cut "do".
