More cruise pictures!

Ben was exhausted from so much excitement already... but he did manage to perk himself up for some pictures with a couple of crazy fellas out to have some fun!

We were seated at this great table when we went for a special dinner at Palo.  It had a wonderful crystal covered background on the wall around it that we were told looked really great in photos.  They were right!  It was pretty in person, but in the photos it looks like there was a window looking out on a sunny Italian landscape.  If you get the chance for a dinner at Palo... get the fillet.   mmmmm

We all really love stitch.  We saw Stitch at Disney World too and he tried to leave with Myranda because he was so in love.

Captain Mickey!

This was dinner at Royal Court.  The dining room is decorated in a Snow White castle type theme.  The servers are all dressed in very hot uniforms that made our server feel like Prince Charming.

Phineas and Ferb!  The kids sang the song in line for pictures.

Our Fantasy, Halloween vacation cruise!

Ok, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disney... and a chance to spend a day at Disney World and then take a Disney cruise to the Caribbean...?!  Sooo much fun.  I feel very blessed that we got to have this experience with the kids.  I think we all made some very magical memories!

Here are a few pictures to get things started.  I may have to wait till my next weekend to post many more... also have a lot on the camera that need sorting and editing, but I promise I will get more up!

Our embarkation photo!  Can't wait to get on the ship!

The kids with Mickey in the Disney terminal.  So excited!

The pictures below were taken against a really pretty mosaic background wall on board.  Thanks, Dyanne for the fun Disney T shirts!

Variety Show

Well, the Variety Show at the Woodland Theatre was this past weekend and it was so much fun!  Sadly the Cats performance was pulled just before the first performance because the main lady was too sick.  On the upside, I got to enjoy Saturday night's performance in the audience, without worry as I didn't have a "job" to do!

Myranda sang the song she wrote, while a friend played the music which he composed, beautifully.  Later Myranda and David gave a great performance of "Anything you can do, I can do... better".  It was so fun to see them on stage together!  And then in the second act Ben got to come out on stage with his "person cut in half" illusion.  It was cute and funny.  I really enjoyed getting to see them in the show.

The second show on Sunday was filmed and we hope to be able to share their performances with all ofyou who were not here once we get a copy of the dvd.

First Day of School!

Last week was the first day of school for the kids.  Ben starting 5th grade at the Jr. High, and Myranda is now a Junior in High School!

The excitement was very high and a little crazy leaked out.  :)

Haircut!

Myranda decided to cut off half her length and donate it.  Her new do makes her look even more grown up.

And she is starting junior year of high school?!  My heart can't take this!

Cats makeup!

So, the community theatre is going to have a variety show again this year.  This time we found out about it early enough to think about doing some things for it.  Myranda and David are working on a duet, we are working on an "illusion" for Ben to audition with (not sure if that is going to work, it's all dependent on if we can construct the prop properly... lol).  And a friend is going to sing "Memory" from Cats.  She has asked Myranda to perform with her also, and has asked me to do the makeup for them both.

This is my first attempt at the "Grizabella" makeup for our friend.  I know I look odd in the pic, but I didn't want to smile since the character is supposed to look old and sad.  I am pretty happy with it for the first run and I think it will look better when I apply it to someone else rather than myself.  haha!

I will post a pic of the "younger cat" makeup when I do that one on Myranda.  It may have to wait until my next weekend though.

At the Drive In Movie Theatre

We are lucky to have a real drive in theatre up here in Colville.  Sadly this is probably the last summer it will be open.  We took the kids a couple of weekends ago... boy does it make for a LATE night!  We saw Monsters University and The Lone Ranger.  I think Ben saw about 8 minutes of The Lone Ranger and then was sound asleep.  ;)

KuroNecoCon

Our kids really like Japanese Anime. When they heard there was an Anime convention coming to Spokane they talked their Dad into taking them.  Myranda made a costume and went as her favorite character "Cheshire" from Pandora Hearts.  She bought a basic black wig from a costume shop and made everything else in a couple of days.  We tried to spike Ben's hair up like every Anime boy but alas he really needs a haircut and it was too heavy.  They did have a good time and hope to go again next year.

"Thanks Dad!"

Rainbow girl

Just found my camera and started looking through some pics I had forgotten about.  I think this was the last day of school or close to it.   Myranda colored her hair with artist chalk pastels and did her eye shadow to match.  It was fun to see her vibrant personality show on the surface.

Myranda

Myranda usually lets her creativity run free at the corner of one eye with her eyeliner.  Normally it's a squiggly doodle of some sort.  Today she decorated each eye with this dripping motif.  I really liked it.  She is pretty into Anime right now and I think it gives that vibe.  Anyway, I wanted to share it.

Here are the other Metaline pics I have... I wish I would have remembered the real camera, but still nice to have a few pics even if they are a bit out of focus.  lol

Spring break hike

The kids and I rode up to Metaline with David on Monday during spring break.  He is working at the Post Office up there this week and we thought it would be fun to see the area a bit.  We hiked a few small trails to the waterfall at sweet creek.  Here are a couple of phone pics since I forgot the real camera.  I hope to have a couple more tomorrow after I can get them off the phone.  ;)
