Last week after Randa's track practice, the kids and I stopped at the local beach on Lake Roosevelt. Last summer they went swimming from that platform... actually had to swim out to it. Now it's high and dry.
These were the markers that separated the swimming area from the rest of the lake.
Wait... there's the water... waayy out there.
This buoy says "no boats"
A tree that has been trapped at the bottom of the lake for who knows how long.
An old tree stump worn from the water so that it looks more like a sea urchin shell.
I have a few more pics, but blogger is taking forever to upload them tonight.
Another post coming soon!

Wow...that's amazing! And in just a year? Where is this? - shiloh
It's Lake Roosevelt, part of the Columbia River. It's so low because they opened up the gates at the dam in preparation for all the snow run off.... but, I'm wondering if it will really fill back up or not. Will have to see I guess.
Oh yeah, and it's about a 10 minute drive from our house. =P
