Patience is not about how long someone can wait... It's about how well they behave while they wait.

the latest...

Lots going on!

The kids are doing so well in school, we are very proud of them both.

Ben has gotten a certificate for reading over 2 Million words at school now.  He is reading books at least a grade level above him.  I'm so glad he enjoys reading.  Ben is also playing baseball again this year.  He has moved up to the "major league" for 11 and 12 year olds.  He is learning a lot and enjoying it.

Myranda was recognized by the American Association of University Women (Colville chapter) for her accomplishments in Math.  She has also been asked to hand out flowers at the Kettle Falls High School graduation ceremony this year as she has the highest gpa of all the girls in the jr class.

The Woodland Theatre spring choir concert is coming up this weekend (May 10th and 11th).  David, Myranda and I will all be singing in it this year.  It has been a lot of fun rehearsing songs from the late 60's and 70's.  I am thinking maybe I can turn a pair of my jeans into some bell-bottoms to wear to the performance.  ;)

great grades!

Both kids brought home straight As on their report cards for the semester!  Myranda did this while having 3 AP classes in her schedule and Ben is also the best reader in his grade.

So very proud of our kids!

1,000,000 words read!

So proud of Ben.  He was awarded a certificate from the librarian for reading One Million Words so far this school year.  These are counted by what books he has read and taken reading tests on.  He is the top reader at the school in 5th grade, with 60 more A.R. points than the second highest reader.

We are very proud of him and so glad he has a love of reading!

Way to go Ben!

More cruise pictures!

Ben was exhausted from so much excitement already... but he did manage to perk himself up for some pictures with a couple of crazy fellas out to have some fun!

We were seated at this great table when we went for a special dinner at Palo.  It had a wonderful crystal covered background on the wall around it that we were told looked really great in photos.  They were right!  It was pretty in person, but in the photos it looks like there was a window looking out on a sunny Italian landscape.  If you get the chance for a dinner at Palo... get the fillet.   mmmmm

We all really love stitch.  We saw Stitch at Disney World too and he tried to leave with Myranda because he was so in love.

Captain Mickey!

This was dinner at Royal Court.  The dining room is decorated in a Snow White castle type theme.  The servers are all dressed in very hot uniforms that made our server feel like Prince Charming.

Phineas and Ferb!  The kids sang the song in line for pictures.

Our Fantasy, Halloween vacation cruise!

Ok, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disney... and a chance to spend a day at Disney World and then take a Disney cruise to the Caribbean...?!  Sooo much fun.  I feel very blessed that we got to have this experience with the kids.  I think we all made some very magical memories!

Here are a few pictures to get things started.  I may have to wait till my next weekend to post many more... also have a lot on the camera that need sorting and editing, but I promise I will get more up!

Our embarkation photo!  Can't wait to get on the ship!

The kids with Mickey in the Disney terminal.  So excited!

The pictures below were taken against a really pretty mosaic background wall on board.  Thanks, Dyanne for the fun Disney T shirts!

Variety Show

Well, the Variety Show at the Woodland Theatre was this past weekend and it was so much fun!  Sadly the Cats performance was pulled just before the first performance because the main lady was too sick.  On the upside, I got to enjoy Saturday night's performance in the audience, without worry as I didn't have a "job" to do!

Myranda sang the song she wrote, while a friend played the music which he composed, beautifully.  Later Myranda and David gave a great performance of "Anything you can do, I can do... better".  It was so fun to see them on stage together!  And then in the second act Ben got to come out on stage with his "person cut in half" illusion.  It was cute and funny.  I really enjoyed getting to see them in the show.

The second show on Sunday was filmed and we hope to be able to share their performances with all ofyou who were not here once we get a copy of the dvd.
